Marketing products vendor StrongMail
announced this week that its StrongMail Message Studio application would incorporate interconnectivity with SAP data management and CRM solutions.
StrongMail said that the new feature is aimed at providing customers with the ability to sift through marketing data to better identify their most valued customers. "Programs can be based on key events within the customer database, web analytics data, purchase activity, or other relevant data attributes," said company officials. The idea is to give "enterprise-level" functionality to companies in the area of email marketing, the officials added.
According to Jujhar Singh, SAP senior vice president for CRP product management, the new functionality "will provide more flexibility to our customers to use email delivery tools from StrongMail to execute their campaigns using customer data from SAP CRM."
SAP’s increasing focus on interconnectivity and inclusion has been visible in the multitude of partnerships struck by the company in the wake of tumultuous shake-ups in its executive hierarchy, and a wave of public criticism that it was insufficiently responsive to the needs of its small business clients.
