Business software provider SAP announced this week that it would team u
p with several German universities to offer post-graduate education in the use of its products, as part of a larger advanced degree program in a more general business- or computer science-related field of study.
The SAP program, according to the company, will initially be offered only at the Steinbeis Center of Management and Technology, SRH University of Applied Sciences, and Munich’s Technical University, but plans are said to be afoot to expand the two-year course to other schools.
Gerd Moeckel, of the SRH University of Applied Sciences, said that "with the SAP Corporate Master program, we offer advanced training that meets market needs. Companies profit from the verified specialization of the graduates, while participants enhance their qualification with a state-recognized master’s degree."
The programs will offer certification in SAP data management services as part of a Master’s in Business Engineering, Master’s of Computer Science, or – for students with at least two years of work experience – a Master’s in Business Administration.
